The sea — in sight and sound — gives rhythm to a repeated back and forth between photo and painting, between the premises and the sources of inspiration, between past and present, between black and white and colour, between day and night, between shadow and light, between work and leisure, between the beach and the studio, between Picasso’s look on things and the photographer’s look on things, between the curator’s words and Françoise Gilot’s and Sima’s words. We experience both today’s time and the time captured by Sima, we discover creation at work and the revival of "joie de vivre".
