The work of the painter Jiří John is heavily influenced by his strong relation with nature. As too often, his paintings and engravings became much better known after his death in 1972. This film is an attentive and delicate portrait made with those who were close to him, his companion Adriena Simotova and his brother Vladimir. The art critic Jaromir Zemina and the writer Jan Vladislav complete this portrait by their informed comments which brings us closer to the painter's universe.
