The film depicts the terrible situation of the population of Guet Ndar, a small traditional fishing village located near Saint-Louis of Senegal, on a spit of land, between the sea and the Senegal River. Trapped by the rise in the water level and overpopulation, the villagers have to live cramped in small houses that sometimes host up to over fifty people. This total lack of privacy has become unbearable for Doudiang Seck, a young father in Guet Ndar: he takes us to the very heart of this despaired population crying in unison for help.
