Romania ten years after the fall of the communist regime. Sulina is the last town on the banks of the Danube river before it meets the Black Sea. Surrounded by the swamps and marshlands of the Danube Delta, Sulina is cut off from the rest of the world. Once a prosperous trading town it has fallen prey to communist decline and post communist confusion. This documentary portrays four people, three generations trying to get a grip on life.
