Les États généraux du film documentaire 2018 Off-site screenings

Off-site screenings

Villages / Families / Partner cinemas

The États généraux du film documentaire are also, in parallel, screenings of a certain number of films from the programme in surrounding villages and cinemas in the presence of their maker(s). The goal is to prolong the encounter between films and public beyond the time frame and rhythm of Lussas itself. On a village square, weather permitting, or in a hall, seven evenings have been programmed over the week, each one followed by a debate with the director. This year, these events will take place in the villages of Saint-Laurent-sous-Coiron, Darbres, Eyriac, Villeneuve-de-Berg and Saint-Andéol-de-Vals, and also at Le Navire, the festival’s partner cinema in Aubenas, which has recently moved into a new building.
At the same time as these public screenings, we are organizing other screenings but this time in family homes. The principle is the same: every evening a filmmaker presents her or his film to a family in Lussas, who will have invited neighbours, friends and relatives for the occasion. The cosy aspect of these evenings is highly appreciated by all!
