The Association Ardèche Images has been striving since 1979 to achieve recognition of the specific characteristics of the creative documentary film. The association has been able to innovate, surprise and propose solutions to the problems of distribution, training, creation and learning to read images.

Confronting viewpoints, stimulating curiosity, seducing the public, these three objectives have been guiding this event for more than twenty years.
As a non-competitive festival, the États généraux aim above all at sharing the diversity of approaches and subjects.
Documentary film has evolved over time and has also turned digital.
The desire to create is just as strong, the public is still present but nonetheless the economic conditions of creative documentary remain fragile.
So more than ever, these encounters and the commitment of Ardèche Images are important. They allow the authors of creative documentary to meet their public.
