Mississippi
Jacques-Yves Cousteau
1982 - 46 min - Couleur - France

After exploring the Nile and the Amazon, the Cousteaus turn their attention to the largest river in North America. To understand what happened to the "Old River", the Cousteau team retraces the attractive history of the Mississippi, examining the river's variety of wild life, as well as the variety of "wild" music and encountering the people who live on its banks, from the Chippewa Indians to the Cajun fishermen.
Turning their attention to the ecological issues for which the Cousteaus have become so highly respected, they take an in-depth look at how man battles to control this powerful body of water and the use and misuse of this precious ressource.
