"Banlieue olympique" is the story of a football team. Week after week, Olympique repeat what some people do not hesitate to call an exploit : they win more than they lose. They play the first roles in a championship that is not made for them. The victories of Olympique draw other horizons for the suburb. The young people in the northern districts of Marseille write: "Our club is your Olympique, not OM".
Beyond the "success" or the sporty fairy tale, there is a reality made of labour and sweat, sharp words and altercations, dreams too... This story has never been told. It is fed on childhood memories, endless battles against destiny, some sending off and some fine play.
