This film was made within the framework of the Hexagon project: six Dutch composers inspired six filmmakers. For Johan van der Keuken and Willem Breuker, it was an occasion to prolong a long-standing cooperation (about ten films since 1967) by taking a new plunge together. The title is taken from the work of Eadweard Muybridge, photographer and forerunner of the cinema. The film is constructed in a free manner and totally orientated towards physical movement: the moving animal is cinema.
