On 22th September 1914, a lieutenant is killed as he's leading his section through the woods in Saint-Rémy-la-Galonne in Eastern France. His name is Henri Fournier, known as Alain-Fournier, the most promising French writer of the beginning of the 20th century and the author of "Le Grand Meaulnes", a best-seller (over 6 million copies sold worldwide) which has been translated into more than 40 languages.
