Ramallah, administrative capital of the Palestinian territories. Media-aided clichés abound. Flavie Pinatel takes up the counterpoint to shoot an everyday portrait without drama. She unveils a city and its contradictions: the humour of the inhabitants, traditional crafts that rub shoulders with an intense nightlife when the youth go out and have fun. In this city in a permanent state of activity, a trace remains of its recent past as a pastoral village. It is a 21st century city pulled between two worlds.
