This is the A bus which links Dunkerque to Grand-Fort-Philippe in the northernest part of France. As I take it, the long years I spent there as a child and a teenager come back to me. Once again I see its towns, factories and countrysides.
I meet old acquaintances and the other inhabitants of this locality. This bus line sweeps back and forth accross the landscape like a metronome. Thanks to it, I travel through space and time and rediscover the history of an area that has created ties and drawn borders.
