Silva, an old tramp, arrives with his bundle in an isolated village in Portugal. He moves into an abandoned house and meets Ana, a young inhabitant. Fascinated by this man with a romantic past, Ana little by little slips into his universe: a daily life inhabited by supernatural beings of which the main one is his beloved and deceased Carolina.
