Mohamed Khattab runs the Mafrouza grocer's shop. Cheikh, he also gives the sermon at the neighbourhood mosque on Friday. But during these days of celebration leading up to the Aïd feast, fundamentalists have taken over the mosque. The people of Mafrouza talk about this takeover with clarity and calm, with the strength of words which develop arguments coming from both the heart and the mind. "The Brothers are trying to attract people: if you like someone, you don't try to attract him, you speak to him directly." Hurt, Mohamed Khattab holds onto his dignity, his irony and his intentions which remain unspoken. But he has not said his last word...
