Cambridge Bay is an Arctic Canadian town where a community of Inuit lives. They have recently gone from a nomadic to a sedentary situation following the arrival of the Hudson Bay Company, wich has brought with it the forces of order, religious representatives, etc. The Inuit population has thus been subjected to profound changes. Notably, the generation gap has become wider and has made cultural transmission improbable. However, such a description only presents the backdrop of a film that is engaged in something in other than an ethnological or sociological exercise.
