In northern Morocco lies the Spanish enclave of Melilla: Europe on African land. On the mountain above live over a thousand hopeful African migrants, watching the fence separating them from the “El Dorado”. Abou – the protagonist in front of the camera as well as the person behind it – is one of them. With his small DV camera, he captured his daily life and his ceaseless attempts to jump the fence. In the presence of Moritz Siebert.
