“The magical voice of Nigerian singer Zabaya Hussey is able to captivate the soul. In a previous film, her singing persuaded my father to return from exile. Two years after the riots that tore my village apart, I asked her to help me organise a concert to soothe rivalries. We hit the road to convince the new generation of singers, Hamsou Garba, Zara Dibissou and Fati Niger, to participate in this call for peace.”
