This documentary, set near the village of Tutonchany, tells the story of the Hukachar family, who has abandoned the traditional Evenki reindeer herding lifestyle. Reality is quickly transformed to ridicule when, during local festivities or in television documentaries, a romantic depiction of the Evenki culture, one that has nothing to do with modern reality, is presented.
