Polemical essays, seriously researched analyses, unanswerable arguments, montage as a form of visual demonstration, films by the Cinéthique group like those of the Dziga Vertov group with which they often dialogue, appear as summits of the cinematic pamphlet. The Dziga Vertov group possessed a brilliant power to question, Cinéthique, the power to argue, and both organised a relentless struggle between dominant representations and critical theses which annihilated all justification for the former. Bon Pied Bon Œil et toute sa tête is a radical analysis of sickness and the handicap as political symptoms. “Not only bodies, but also the chain of gestures, thoughts and also landscapes... are attacked, mutilated.“
