A film poem of restlessness and desire, targeted at Ariadne's thread. "Moving sprockets, wheels, threads, hands and feet could suggest a wish to escape – but it could also be the unrest of being hopelessly in love, or Ariadne weaving the thread for the labyrinth to guide her lover out of it. The unrest and longing are paralelled in the sounds of the machines and love songs, like Schubert’s Gretchen am Spinnrade singing that her rest has gone.” (Barbara Meter)
