In 1946, Jean Hurault, a young geographer arrives for a mission in the Guyana Equatorial forest for the National Geographic Institute. He is here to draw a map in an out of access zone. He will come many times to do a cartography of the rivers and draws the border of Brazil. From his first mission he comes with a movie camera and will never cease to film. He becomes interested in the people as an ethnologist.
Today, Jean Hurault is eighty-six years old and evokes his memories watching some images he has filmed more than fifty years before and among some have never been broadcasted: wonted ceremonies with the Indian Wayana, and the traditional life of the Aluku...
