At the end of the Middle Ages, in Florence, Italy, a revolt of the poorest workers, the Ciompi, upset the city and succeeded in overthrowing the government.
In Florence, I filmed in their footsteps, to bring out the ghosts of this revolt forgotten in today's images. In the industrial suburbs, I discover the echoes in the present.
In Paris, I dialogue with the militant researcher who has brought this revolt back to light. We question together the political stake of the writing of the History in the construction of a of a fertile collective memory.
