The last great French dam of the 20th century is to be built in the upper valley of the Cher at Chamboncard, on the borders of the Creuse and the Allier. These "Chronicles from the valley" are about following the changes that this valley will experience with the construction of the dam. From government approval to the filling of the dam with water four years late on, this monitoring will result in four films (4 x 26 min), that is one release per year.
These chronicles will illustrate "one of the issues of the next century : how will people resolve the contradiction between the dream of unspoilt nature and their demand for constant economic growth ?"
