Broken Land
Luc Peter, Stéphanie Barbey
2014 - 75 min - Couleur - Suisse

Somewhere along the immense stretch of the border between the USA and Mexico, in a desert landscape, a small community of Americans lives in the shade of the wall erected to protect them from illegal immigrants.
All see the marks of migrants crossing the border: moving shadows on surveillance cameras, piles of human bones blanched by the sun or simply footprints in the sand.
For these inhabitants torn between fear, indignation and sometimes compassion, the ghostly presence of those whose only desire is to cross over becomes an obsession.
