"Boul Fallé, the Wrestling Way"
In 1988, the Senegalese youth took to the streets to protest against President Abdou Diouf’s re-election. This was the first indication of a rift between the generations. The "Boul Fallé" movement, which means, “don’t give a damn and go ahead”, was born in this context.
From its conception, Boul Fallé had specific means of expression: Hip hop music and wrestling with hits. Female director Rama Thiaw doesn’t describe the history of the movement, but she intends to show its energy. From the recording studios in the suburb Pikine to the sand arena, her camera takes us into the rhythm of men who have decided to become again what they used to be: noble warriors.
