Farewell Dear Lou
Christine Doyon, Isabelle Darveau
2012 - 78 min - HD - Couleur - Canada (Québec)

Captured by two young filmmakers, an intimate and tender portrait of a loving couple in which the wife is seriously ill with a brain tumor. Farewell Dear Lou is a window on the delicate and fragile journey leading up to a loved one’s death, with all its ups and downs, its moments of hope and soul-searching. Despite their diverging spiritual beliefs, Louise and Marc cling to the here and now with all their might, thanks to their shared memories and enduring love.
A naturalistic and endearing film, Farewell Dear Lou raises questions about our own passing and that of those we love. What are the choices we make in light of a foretold death? How do we say goodbye to a person who has shaped our very existence?
