After the depenalisation of homosexuality only one of the Frenchmen deported had the courage to make public an extradition that still now isn't officially recognised.
Alternating a reading of Pierre seel's autobiography, "Moi Pierre Seel, déporté homosexuel", with conversations with militants gays, "Amants des hommes" tries to bring to the light a forgotten history, linking the past with the present, yesterday's with today's homophobia.
