Jean-Paul Fargier
1997 - 50 min - Betacam SP - Couleur - France

The film, by combining different types of images (animations, archives, interviews), describes the evolutionary stages that mark man's apparition and explains the causes of transitions between these stages throughout the evolution process.
This explanation is biological.
Jean Chaline has been able to formulate it because he is both a paleontologist and a biologist. Before him, no one has ever attempted to look at our ancestor's DNA. Chaline did just that and has been able to find a logical scenario behind the evolutionary bifurcations that led to our species.
