Anne Caprile
1994 - 35 min - 16 mm - Couleur - France

Abel Jores is a carpenter who wishes to live his dream, to read poetry in his little suburb house.
When talking with his customers, he peppers conversation the ideas of the great poets : Henri Michaux, Tagore, Victor Hugo.
With unusual sculptures from the forest which keep him company, he is constantly surrounded by a magic presence. He creates a timeless place in order to battle the inhuman towers which continue to rise and transform the city.
With his own hands, he built a small theater for the lonely people of his neighbourhood.
But each day, Abel, an uncommon man, always the dreamer, with beautiful words goes deep inside himself, recreating his life.
