Just a century ago, two hundred French speaking Swiss migrated to the Pecos Valley, a desert region in New Mexico. A heavy promotion let in Switzerland by a group of Swiss and American business men convinced them to go and seek their fortune in the USA.
Farmers, wine growers, or just young well off adventures, these pioneers strived for the three years to produce the "fabulous harvest" they had been deceived, some returned to their home country and some went further into the American interior to try their luck.
Only one family remained, and their descendants are still living in the Pecos Valley...
