The devaluation of the CFA franc which was decided in January 1994 by the heads of state of the countries in the franc area provoked reactions of rejection among the populations concerned mainly due to a lack of understanding of the measure and the difficulty in imagining the long term effects.
Alternating between reports from Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and a studio with industrialists, decision-makers, representatives of the association sector and the Ministry of Cooperation, the film allows us to appreciate what is at stake in this devaluation for Africa and her partners.
