From Monday, 20 to Wednesday, 22 in Saint-Laurent-sous-Coiron, behind closed doors
And we’re off for the twentieth edition!
It’s hard to believe, so much does this experience organized each year in Saint-Laurent feel, in its generosity, momentum and surprises, like a first time. For the trainees: duos of author-directors and producers of course, even though some people don’t hesitate to come back, but also for all those who, since the beginning of the adventure for some, put their knowledge, competence and time in the service of three days of meeting “at the top” of the Coiron.
Conceived at the beginning as a favourable space for exchange meant to facilitate access to the financing of creative documentaries, these meetings have managed to preserve over time their simultaneously pedagogical and disinterested dimension. During the first day of workshops conducted by our artistic team of experienced and generous producers (Serge Gordey, Céline Loiseau, Raphaël Pillosio, Sophie Salbot), the trainees (twelve duos) will defend challenging proposals, and develop their texts thanks to the analyses and feedback provided by all participants. The following two days, they will meet for real working sessions of forty-five minutes with pairs of readers (commissioning editors, institutional decision makers, distributors, platform programmers, etc.) in positions that allow creative documentary to exist.
For this twentieth edition, we are delighted to count numerous new readers alongside our veterans. We take this opportunity to thank them as well as the members of the Ardèche Images team who make this meeting possible and particularly this year: Benjamin Orliange, Anouck Everaere from the École documentaire, assisted by Marie Castagnola and Violette Deffontaines.
