From Monday, 18 to Wednesday, 20 at Saint-Laurent-sous-Coiron, behind closed doors.
Organised by the Lussas documentary school, the August encounters are celebrating their fifteenth anniversary this year. These meetings bring together economic players of creative documentary, invited to react critically to a dozen proposals presented by duos of producers and directors. They are designed as moments of friendly exchange, meant to reinforce professional networking in particular for the younger generation of authors and producers and to stimulate the production launch of new films. But above all, the August encounters are part of a training method for demanding projects with clearly affirmed writing styles. Again this year, distributors for television and cinema will be present alongside television programmers and institutional partners. We are also pleased to welcome for the first time the manager of a DVD edition company and VOD platform engaged in favour of creative documentary.
