Scam Brouillon d'un rêve

Brouillon d’un rêve, the particular help of the Scam to filmic desires.

Carrying on in the spirit of the architect Mallet-Stevens who ordered from Jean Prouvé a cast iron gate without asking for a plan, the Brouillon d’un rêve bursary has continued over fourteen years to trust authors who formulate the project of a true desire to make a film.

This seed fund, working like an electric shock, encourages the author at a particular moment, always welcome, to advance into the open air, enriched by a tiny puff of independence. A form of legible patronage amid the despair of a hardened craft, Brouillon d’un rêve every two months recognizes film authors who can thus continue to assume this fragile identity and helps film proposals to emerge from the edges of the television wasteland in an urgency made ever more vital by the disappearance of this type of programming from the horizon of those who determine commissioning policies.

Today, seven such gifted individuals appear in the “carte blanche” extended every year to the Scam (French Society of Multimedia Authors) by the Lussas organizers from among the forty or so films completed this year. Is that to say that all the Brouillon d’un rêve projects are so clearly lead to finished films? Undeniably yes, for nearly 70 % of them over the first ten years of the fund.

Evelyne Clavaud and François Caillat, cinema authors and directors, members of the selection jury, will guide the steps of the authors of these films all along this very special day of August 24th.

During the day, the audience will discover L'Énergie de Pierre Bonnard by Yann Kassile, Closing your Eyes by Robin Hunzinger, Les Messieurs by Patrick Chiha, Les Âmes errantes by Boris Lojkine, Régis Jauffret, écrivain ou l'Ange du bizarre by Dominique Lucie Brard, and the video songs of the inhabitants of St Ouen and Paris extracted from Qu'est-ce que vivre by Christophe d’Hallivillée and Christine Spianti will punctuate each screening. To close the day, will be screen Belzec by Guillaume Moscovitz.
