At the age of 20, I fled my hometown, Hamburg, to reach Paris, far from the planned life of my family.i didn't know what I was looking for, I only knew what I was running away from : family tradition, music for instance.
As a photographer, I work on matters related to identity and citizenship. After 20 years living near the Seine, I moved back to Hamburg to wander about my roots, wondering what is the "heimat", dutch word for home.
A fil diary, where my life is enlarged with pieces of lives of people I bumped on my way back to Hamburg.
