"When I Am A Bird" is set in a fantasy world of fortune-tellers and ghosts, and is a tale about trying to change fate. MuLa, a Kayan woman from Burma, has been living in Thailand for two years with her husband and all her sons. Her only daughter remains on the other side of the border. MuLa wants to bring her over to a better world.
