Temple Grandin, a 52-year-old American autistic woman has accomplished an apparently extraordinary social integration. She is a professor at the University of Colorado and, thanks to a very particular aptitude for "thinking in three-dimensional images", works as a designer for livestock equipment.
This isn’t an attempt to describe the life of an "exemplary" autistic person but to bring about, with her and thanks to her, the junction between two worlds : that of autistic people and our own world.
Through her experience, we can tackle the various theories put forward to explain autism.
