Peter Eötvös's modern opera, Lady Sarashina, tells about the dream life of an educated lady in feudal but very refined Japan in the early 11th century. As we dive into Japanese poetry where the Hungarian composer meets the choreographer and man of the theatre, Ushio Amagatsu, the film investigates Japan's far-off cultural influence on contemporary western creativity.
