"Malanggan" a pedagogical documentary, tells about the rituals, ceremonies and artworks of the same name, made in Papuan New Guinea in the Tabar Islands, for the commemoration of the dead.
This film shows the beautiful Malanggan collection of the Museum Fur Völkerkunde in Basel, alterning with the preparation of new artworks and Malanggan rituals in the Kuk tribe in 1994.
