Les Survivants de l'indicible
Jean-André Chérasse
1994 - 55 min - Betacam SP - Couleur et Noir & Blanc - France
In the spring of 1945 France experienced the biggest displacement of population of its whole history.
Of the approximately two and a half million people repatriated, 40,000 came back from death camps, most of them sick and profoundly marked.
The great return of the deported, i.e. 3 % of survivors for the Jews, barely 30 % for the others, political prisoners and resistance fighters, is a wound in history.
Fifty years after this tragedy, the survivors tell us about their return to life...
