This is a film with characters and therefore actors. There are seven plus three. Seven youths who live in the same district, le Récébédou in Portet-sur-Garonne, and three theatre actors who come to be their accomplices and their initiators.
Seven youths whose life is in front of them. They are unpolished personalities, without complications, who tell their stories with force. They use their real names which doesn’t mean they aren’t actors but means they play their own part in a production where chance has been orchestrated and the unexpected controlled.
They have revealed their simple gestures, their silences and their improvised speech. They have confided their doubts, hopes and questionings to us.
There are eight scenes making up a mosaic of moments, peopled with silences, simple words, sometimes essential. Eight miniatures in the shape of a puzzle which in the end make up the portrait of a certain youth.
