The Marolles, in the heart of Brussels. Almost 65 years after their inauguration, the “Bains de Bruxelles” continue to provide the residents of this working-class district with two swimming pools and a number of public showers, offering a relaxing and health-giving environment for people of varying ages, backgrounds and social classes. Illustration of a melting pot where people come to exercise, bathe, chat, socialise…
A film shot entirely in and around the pool and the adjacent areas, where sensations, impressions and circumstances support a seemingly egalitarian vision but one that is in fact much more complex.
