Zao
David-Pierre Fila
2009 - 59 min - Congo Brazzaville

Casimir Zoba was born on March 24, 1954 in Goma Tsé-Tsé, a village in Congo Brazzaville. Zao is a telltale character of the difficulties and problems of the African continent. Using laughter and humour, he conveys a political message deeply rooted in the present. "Zao" is a documentary film portrait, made as a tribute to a son of Africa. He is like no one else, he is a monument, his world is mainly made of words, written and performed by him to make us aware! He is a "modern storyteller" of Africa "cadaver".
