May 2000. In the context of the Arts Biennial in Dakar, William Kentridge – a South African draughtsman, filmmaker and director – is invited to lead a workshop in film animation through the initiative of the Graphoui group. Eleven artists from Senegal and from Burkina-Faso take part. In the space of one day, they experiment with animation through form and movement.
