A day in the life of an ascetic, from his vagrancy in a South Indian valley to his encounter with other inhabitants of the region. His peregrinations come to an end with his return "home", a simple refuge where he contemplates the obviousness of life. An observational film with a wealth of surprising little touches. Simple, funny and light, it reveals spirituality at its burning point.
