The backpackers are a global village of young westerners who travel during several months, sometimes up to a couple of years carrying a backpack and a “lonely planet” in their side pocket.
The film explores the relationship between this new generation of travellers and the inhabitants of the visited countries.
Do they manage to travel according to their ideas of travel and freedom?
How do these young westerners live their dreams along the eastern roads?
