It is at the dawn of the 18th century that the collective desire of the sea shore awaked and unfurled, the admiration for the streams' infinite space, the desire to face the waves' strength, to feel the sand freshness. In a word, to enjoy the sublimeness of the sea landscape and its elements.

The purpose of this documentary is to show and describe throughout various examples these different expressions - from the most banal to the most extreme - as well as the sociological evolutions that came with it.
