The Eiffel Tower is a huge attraction visited by thousands of tourists...
It is also a place of work, where 34 workers – painters, locksmiths, mechanics, plumbers, etc. – work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
We are taken on a guided tour of the Eiffel Tower by these orginal, sometimes gruff character who are always ready to crack a joke and who in addition to being skilled workers are expert climbers. We follow them into the basements, onto the fourth floor, up the elevator shafts, inside battery accumulators, hanging over the side of footbridges, like tiny ants crawling over a fascinating giant spider's web.
