Gerard, Fabienne, Dominique and Papi Jacquot are homeless in La Rochelle. Everyone wants to find a decent roof, but the street, the trials of life, have marked them. They are fragile and vulnerable. Despite the assistance of institutions, they fail to change their situation. Then they turn to Muriel Dumont, founder of the association “Le Toî Kétatous”. Volunteer, she spends all her time to the homeless.
For her, the more urgent is that they find shelter as quickly as possible. For the social workers who follow them, they must first resolve their health problems in a suitable structure, before re-entering independent housing.
Is there only one ideal solution for these people, or rather an addition of attempts that can sometimes get them off the street?
For four months, Stephan Moszkowicz followed this woman and these men in their struggle for access to independent housing. With modesty and attention, this film shows us their small victories, doubts as to regain the place they have lost.
