"An ordinary French family, with flowery accents from Bab-el-oued, is going to discover extraordinary ancestors: The kings of Grenade and one of the most aristocratic ancestries of Spain, known for funding Christopher Columbus’ trips to America.
These colourful characters are going to be confronted to a part of themselves they don’t understand until the moment they embark in this great expedition across the country of their forefathers: the trauma, the uprooting, the setbacks and the difficult mix between the east and the west, the conflicts lived by the ancestors in each period of time.
A meditation on the universality of life, the duty of memory and the family’s collective unconscious, perpetuated from one generation to the other."
